Therapy in Brighton and online for women who are functioning on
the outside but feel increasingly disconnected from themselves

Clients who come to see me often feel anxious, overwhelmed or hopeless. They may have tried alternative routes in the past – retreats, courses, coaching, self-help books – yet keep encountering the same issue.

You know you're feeling unhappy but can't quite pinpoint why. You feel your life lacks contentment; on the surface everything seems fine but inside you're quietly hurting.

Perhaps you're standing in front of a big decision but feel too unsure to take it.

Deciding to start therapy can feel scary and takes courage. I offer sessions online and in person in Brighton.

Therapy with me looks like:

•Feeling understood and unjudged

•Having your own safe space to say out loud what feels too hard to say elsewhere

•Being in the Here and Now. We explore the past only if it feels relevant

•You deciding what you would like to talk about

•You as the expert of your experience. I offer reflections but you decide what resonates

•Talking to an authentic human who shares her responses

•Paying attention to trauma and learning new tools to help you feel at peace again

•Learning new psychological concepts from me to help you gain more self-knowledge

During therapy you may discover parts of yourself you want to judge and have times when self-compassion feels elusive and shame all too present. This is why I believe that creating a warm and accepting space for you is the foundation of good therapy so that first and foremost you feel supported and safe.

FAQs

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can help if you feel anxious, stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected.

Do you offer therapy in Brighton and online?

Yes, I offer in-person therapy in Brighton and online sessions across the UK.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

My work is thoughtful, relational and collaborative and rooted in Gestalt therapy. Together, we can explore what has shaped your experiences, how you relate to yourself and others, and what might help you to move towards a deeper sense of understanding and choice.

Is it better to work with an individual therapist or go through a therapy practice?

Both can be helpful. Working directly with an individual therapist can give you a clearer sense of who you'll be meeting, how they work, and whether they feel like the right fit for you.The most important thing is finding someone you feel safe enough to talk openly with.

What should I look for in a therapist in Brighton?

It can help to look for someone who is properly qualified, registered with a professional body (such as the UKCP or BACP), clear about how they work, and experienced in supporting the kinds of issues you're bringing. It's also important that you get a sense of whether you feel comfortable with them.

Do you work with women who feel stuck or unsure about what they want?

Yes. Many people come to therapy because they feel stuck, disconnected from themselves, or caught between who they have been and who they want to become. Therapy can offer a space to understand those feelings more deeply.
