Therapy for women
ready to do life on their own terms

In-person therapy in Brighton and online for women struggling with anxiety, shame, identity and
the feeling of never quite fitting in

You may have walked a more common path up until now: followed the career you thought would bring fulfilment or chosen the partner you thought would make you feel special and safe.

From the outside it might look like life is good. But deep down you’re feeling a dull ache. You know you’re not happy and you've recently realised that life is happening to you without you really in it.

Many of the women I work with describe feeling like they have built a life that works on paper, but doesn't feel like it belongs to them.

When clients start working with me, they begin to reclaim their agency and often experience a gradual sense of returning to themselves – not by becoming someone new, but by understanding and valuing themselves more deeply.

Hi, I’m Sandra...

I know what it’s like to have worked hard wanting to create a good life for yourself, only to realise that once you think you’ve ‘arrived,’ something feels off, like something isn't right or missing.

You may be here because:

  • You feel like you have spent years trying to hold it together but lately feel increasingly overwhelmed

  • You struggle with anxiety, shame, self-doubt or the feeling that there is something wrong with you

  • You often feel different; like you're too much or not good enough

  • You often criticise yourself and feel disconnected from others

I am a registered Gestalt psychotherapist and I help women (re-)connect with who they are - away from all the noise and expectations - and support them to get to where they want to be.

FAQs

What happens in the first session?

We talk about what brings you and whether working together feels like a good fit.

How often are sessions?

Usually weekly, as research shows these are the most effective.

I feel like I don't fit in. Can therapy help?

Yes. Many clients come feeling different or misunderstood.

Do I already need to know exactly what is wrong first?

No. Many people begin therapy before they have clear words for what they feel.

I mainly want help with my anxiety and depression. Can you still help-?

Yes, absolutely. I see anxiety and depression as symptoms of something else going on underneath. When those issues get addressed, anxiety and depression often dissolve.
